Our Accessibility Statement
Sanctuary Film Festival is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability. We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our website and ensure it conforms to the highest standards.
Conformance level
We are aiming to meet the Level AA Success Criteria of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines outline a variety of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Measures that have been taken
- Semantic HTML: We use semantic HTML to structure our content, making it easier for assistive technologies to understand the meaning of the content.
- Images: All images have alternative text descriptions that provide information about the content of the image for people who cannot see it.
- Color Contrast: We use a color contrast ratio that meets WCAG guidelines to ensure our text is easily readable for people with visual impairments.
- Keyboard Navigation: Our website can be navigated using a keyboard only, allowing users who cannot use a mouse to access all content.
- Focus indicators: We use focus indicators to show users which element on the page has keyboard focus.
