Brooklyn Rivera, the Mrs. America 2021 and Mrs. Texas 2020 winner has been married to her husband, Eddie Rivera, for a long time. After dating for several months, they tied the knot on April 14, 2014.
Moreover, Eddie is a 34-year-old Puerto Rican-born businessman who moved to the States during his early teen years.
He was previously a US Marine officer who served at Fort McClellan in 1995 and later moved to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in 1997.
In an interview with One Community Church, Eddie revealed that he joined the military to get away from the mental, physical, and SA that he had to endure at the hands of his father.
After serving the country for several years, Eddie met with Brooklyn through familiar friends after going through a divorce with his first wife and considered her his biggest support system.
Likewise, Brooklyn Rivera has helped her husband deal with his anger issues and anxiety by showing him the way of God’s teaching.
Often, Eddie appreciates her efforts and even says, “My wife is the spiritual leader in my home and I’ve felt like she’s has dragged me through my growth, bearing the responsibility, forgiven me, loving me, and showing me compassion.”
Brooklyn Rivera and her husband are the parents of three children: Rhema, Kameron, and Maverick!
Throughout their relationship, Brooklyn has been fortunate to welcome her children alongside Eddie while becoming a stepmother to his son, Kage, from a previous marriage.
Their eldest daughter, Rhema, an 8th-grader, has followed in her mother’s footsteps into the world of pageantry. She recently participated in America’s Most Beautiful Pageants.
Further, Brooklyn shared the precious moment through her Instagram post, captioned, “Rhema, we are so proud of you. You held your head high, exuded confidence, and let your light shine. That’s my girl.”
Rhema also makes sure to spend time with her father and attend several Milliraty Appreciation Nights to honor the veterans who have dedicated their lives to serving and protecting the country.
Similarly, Eddie often posts pictures of vacation and family time with his children as a proud father and writes in one of his posts, “My daddy heart ❤️ is warm seeing the awesome relationship of my children, three young kiddos. It’s all about fun and time together.”
Additionally, Brooklyn has mentioned that her pageantry endeavors wouldn’t have been possible without the constant support of her family, including her husband.
Despite being in her 30s, she revealed that being a veteran wife and stepmother to an active-duty Marine pushed her to move forward in life and work for the officers’ mental health and needs through her platform.
