R&B legend Frankie Beverly has reportedly passed away at the age of 77 after his family announced the heartfelt demise news on the singer’s social account.
Before the tragic news, the singer had just retired from his decade-long singing career in early February 2024, saying, “It’s been a great ride through the decades. Let the music of my legacy continue.“
While he gave his last performance on April 13, many fans thought he needed a break as he was facing difficulties singing at the concert due to his old age and illness.
Frankie Beverly had not revealed any information about suffering from any major illnesses at the time. So, the sudden news of Frankie Beverly’s demise shocked every fan, as they had no clue he was so near his end.
While the cause of his demise remains unknown, singer Frankie Beverly reportedly had throat issues for a long time!
Frankie Beverly previously had revealed that while he never had to deal with any serious illnesses like Cancer, he did have issues with his throat.
However, at the time, the singer asserted that it was nothing extraordinary for an artist to have a throat problem.
Having said that, Frankie’s throat issues took a severe turn with his old age, which eventually forced him to take a break from his career.

After watching his last performance, one fan wrote, “My heart goes out to Frankie Beverly! Even with illness, he tries to perform at his fullest! They don’t make em like that anymore.“
