Jamie Theakston, who has won the hearts of many people through his amazing talent as a television presenter, holds millions of net worth earned from his decade-long career in the radio and television sector.

The 53-year-old English presenter started his radio career at around age 22 or 23, working for GLR and BBC’s Radio 5 Live.

After recognizing his talent, BBC’s head of sports hired him to present GLR’s Saturday Sports Show, and it was when his professional TV presenter career started rising.

Since then, he has been closely working for BBC One and BBC Two for over two decades, through which he made a name for himself in the media industry and has amassed over £5 million net worth.

Sources confirmed BBC paid Jamie Theakston around £1.2 million annually!

As Jamie Theakston is one of the oldest employees of BBC, there is no doubt he receives more than a million per annum.

Jamie Theakston joined Heart 106.2 radio station in London in May 2005, replacing then-presenter Jonathan Coleman on Heart Breakfast with Harriet Scott.

Before joining Heart 106.2, Theakston had decided to pursue an acting career after quitting his three years of work at Radio 1 in 2002.

In June 2009, while working in the Heart, he and Scott won the Radio Presenter of the Year award at the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards.

Heart Breakfast’s popularity and listeners grew with time, and it became one of the most preferred shows across the UK. On 3 June 2019, after the decision of the UK radio authority OFCOM, Heart Breakfast started broadcasting all over the UK.

In 2020, during COVID-19, a global spokesperson reported that many TV presenter jobs might be at risk since the company was at a loss as ad revenue was down, and there was no money coming in from the billboard firms.

As per the condition, many thought that the presenter who earns more than a million pounds might be at risk of losing their job due to the loss of the company.

Similarly, while talking about the most earning presenter, The US Sun reported that Jamie Theakston earns around £1.5 million for his morning show on HeartCredit.

Moreover, it was reported that Chris Moyles earns around £1.5 million for his breakfast show on Radio X, and Big Breakfast favorite Johnny Vaughan makes around £1 million for the drive-time slot.

Further, the global spokesperson reported on US Sun that despite the huge cuts, most earning Television presenters like Jamie Theakston, Chris Moyles, and Johnny Vaughan are not at risk of losing their jobs.
