The previous chapter revealed Yuji’s two severed fingers, along with one of the fingers tied up in a shrine, pointing at the next move that Yuji has up on his sleeve to defeat the King of the Curses in Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) Chapter 267.
Looking back at the story, Yuji listened to Megumi’s soul while trapped in Sukuna, as his friend only wanted to live a peaceful life alongside his sister, Tsumiki.
After all that’s happened with Megumi, he wanted a break from the sorcerer’s world, to which Yuji showed his understanding by claiming, “For that reason, I can’t tell you to continue living, Fushiguro.“

Soon after, readers get a full-fledged battle between Yuji and Sukuna as they try their best to land a blow while Sukuna employs Hollow Wicker Basket.
However, Sukuna loses his footing during the fight to 10 shadow techniques, indicating that Megumi has started fighting back from within the curses’s body.
As the end inches closer, we see a finger tied up inside a shrine, making way for the climax of the Shinjuku Showdown in JJK chapter 267.
Yuji’s Dismantle could be the final way to trap Sukuna in JJK 267, ending the fierce battle with the curse!
With one of the cursed fingers still at large, it raised a series of questions about who it belonged to. Later, the revelation came that the finger belonged to Sukuna, who had only consumed 19 fingers and used a mummified body to replace the remaining one.
Likewise, Yuji can consume the final finger, pulling Sukuna’s soul inside his body and releasing Megumi’s soul as a last gift to his friend.
However, a problem remains as the curses’ energy can overpower Yuji, potentially leading to his unfortunate demise.
The previous release heightened fan theories, as the way the finger was tied resembled Nobara’s Resonance technique, giving readers hope for her comeback.

Regardless, Gege has confirmed her death. She died in the initial stages of the Shibuya arc, so it would be out of the blue for her to enter the story at such a final moment.
However, no one can guarantee anything, as the series remains one of the top mangas due to its unpredictable plot. Further, Gege might want to spice things up for the final five chapters.
If the fan theories are indeed true, and Sukuna suffers a hit from the technique, he won’t be able to use his domain expansion, which would disadvantage him at a crucial moment.
The fight between Sukuna and Yuji has stretched out over several releases, so chapter 267 could be the perfect time to end the storyline and move on to other plot points.
With important aspects of the story, like the merger left with loose ties, the King of Curses might try to speed up the process despite facing severe injuries in the battle.
