On June 8, 2024, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders director Kelli Finglass’s daughter Samantha Finglass married John Patrick McKean after a two-year engagement.

Samantha Finglass shared a beautiful wedding picture on Instagram, captioning it, “All that changes, is only everything…..when the right one comes along.” To which Kelli Finglass commented, “Enchanting“

The beautiful couple got engaged in 2022 and have been planning their dream wedding in Mexico ever since.

Furthermore, the proud mom, Kelli, also posted a video on her Instagram, saying, “When your best friend marries her best friend, and your best friends all join the celebration! Congrats Sam and John!!!”

Amidst the wedding celebrations, Neflix’s docuseries, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, also premiered on June 20. Many speculated that Samantha would join the DCC, following her mother’s legacy, Kelli.

Samantha Finglass choose her own career path instead of following the footsteps of her mother, Kelli

Samantha Finglass, 27, was born on June 6, 1997, and grew up with her influential parents, Kelli and Joel Finglass.

As both of her parents worked for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, many thought Samantha would join the DCC team as well. But to everyone’s surprise, she chose her career path in marketing.

Samantha studied Journalism and Media Studies at Texas A&M University and Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership at the University of Washington.

In 2019, she got an internship as a social media producer for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, a CMT Television show.

According to the Texas A&M student spotlight, Samantha said, “Working in social media content marketing was a really positive experience for me.”

Furthermore, she was the Student Ambassador at Texas A&M for a year. Later, in 2021, she became an Administrative Associate, Assistant Director, and eventually Director of Letterman’s Association at Texas A&M University.

Per her LinkedIn profile, Samantha Finglass is currently a Director of Brand Development and Retail Marketing at Rebel Athletics.

Although Samantha did not share the same passion as her mother, Kelli, she once revealed that she enjoyed dancing. But dancing did not become her ultimate ambition.

Regardless, Kelli Finglass’s daughter, Samantha Finglass, looks happier than ever. Kelli also supports and respects her daughter’s decision not to pursue a cheerleading career.
