In one of the earlier episodes of Love Island USA, season 6, contestant Kendall Washington said he is half Lebanese, which kind of justified those who believed he was of mixed ethnicity.

In one of his Instagram posts, one fan asked Kendall about his ethnicity, and his mother stepped in and clarified, “He’s black and from San Diego.”

Meanwhile, another one asked if he was biracial or mixed by any chance, suggesting his lighter shade of black. To which Nenah Pace Washington gave a savage reply, saying, “No. What y’all living under a rock. We come in many hues.”

In addition to that, his sister, Taylor Washington, clarified the surrounding ambiguity about the ethnicity of Love Island star Kendall. She said, “ethnically mixed with a little Belizian, but racially just black.”

Despite such solid clarification, many are having a hard time believing Love Island USA Kendall Washington is black, suggesting his lighter skin tone.

Kendall Washington later explained to Sierra that he is black in the Love Island show!

Born on June 27, 1997, Love Island USA season 6 third runner-up Kendall Washington, 27, is a son to parents Greg Washington and Nenah Pace Washington.

Amidst the speculations about the bi-racial ethnicity of Love Island USA star Kendall, his father is black, and his mother also claims to be of black descent. So, as the parents are black then, their children, Kendall and Taylor Washington, are obviously black.

Besides the clarification from Kendall’s mother and sister, the Love Island contestant himself revealed that he is of black descent in the show while talking to another contestant, Sierra, in Casa Amor.

Despite all the facts and statements present, some still beg to differ and believe he’s in no way just black, pointing out his light skin with curly hair. Moreover, many are hell-bent on believing his mother, Nenah Pace, is either Lebanese, Hispanic, or even Arab.

In the same comment where Kendall’s mother clarified things, another replied, “Why Are You Lying About Kendall’s Race?”

But ending the comment thread, Nenah Pace Washington replied, Born and raised in Baltimore six generations deep 🧬 We are proud African Americans.
