On the occasion of baby Khai Malik’s fourth birthday, Zayn Malik took to his Instagram to wish his daughter the sweetest happy birthday, featuring a cute photo of the father-daughter duo without revealing her face.
The Pillowtalk singer wrote, “Happy birthday to the most important person in my life. I love you more than words allow me to express, beyond proud to call you my daughter…“
“Grateful for every second I get to spend next to you, as you become the incredible person I know you already are.“
Reminiscing about her birth four years ago, he added, “Four years ago today my life changed forever and I wouldn’t be the man I am today without you.“
Likewise, Gigi Hadid posted multiple pictures of her daughter Khai Malik, but none featured her face. Although it has already been over four years, the Malik and Hadid parents haven’t felt comfortable sharing their daughters’ faces with the world.

In a lengthy Instagram story, when Khai Malik was around 10 months old, supermodel Gigi Hadid explained why she and Zayn wouldn’t be uploading any pictures of Khai with her face in it.
She wrote, “Our wish is that she can choose how to share herself with the world when she comes of age, and that she can live as normal of a childhood as possible, without worrying about a public image that she has not chosen..“
In the same post, she requested Paparazzi, press, and fan accounts to blur Khai Malik’s face if they took a photo of her in public or not to share it.
Gigi clarified that she and Zayn have never intentionally shown their daughter’s face in their post. So far, neither of them has ever uploaded any pictures of Khai featuring her face.
Despite all those humble requests from recently turned parents, photos of Khai Malik are still circulating online. Furthermore, some are even creating fake accounts in her name and posting pictures of her face.
Nevertheless, Zayn and Gigi are still following through on their promises and trying their best to give their child a normal childhood away from their public figure status.
