Without providing much of a context, rapper NLE Choppa took to Twitter and tweeted, “I’m Coming Out ….” with two pictures of himself in front of a mirror, which has now bamboozled everyone online.
However, netizens are not having it as the post is receiving harsh comments and bashes in the comment section, with some even calling it a Queerbaiting.

That’s not all! Fans are also criticizing his announcement timing, as Hollywood lost Rich Homie Quan. One user wrote, “Can’t even bury quan first?” Meanwhile, another wrote, “Fam let us mourn Rich Homie Quan please.“
The rapper NLE Choppa did not exactly say what he is coming out of, so one fan wrote, “Coming out of what??” So far, since the coming out tweet, he has not uploaded or said anything to make things clear.

Although NLE Choppa has always been vocal about his support and allegiance to the LGBTQ+ community, this time, his post is rather garnering hate, with many perceiving it as a marketing stunt for his upcoming single or album.
Just recently, in an interview with Paper Magazine, when asked about his thoughts about people who speculated about his sexuality, he revealed though he is not, he wants to give some more reasons to feel that way.

His exact words were, “… it gave me an opportunity to say, ‘Oh, y’all feel like I’m this way? Okay, let me give y’all some more reasons to feel that way, even though I know I’m not’.“
Now that NLE Choppa says he is coming out, fans are confused if he is talking about sexuality, which would contradict what he said in the interview.
Regardless, since NLE Choppa performed at the Black Pride Event in Atlanta, he had been receiving a lot of support. So, many are criticizing his latest tweet as a stunt for promo for a song or potential upcoming album, which explains the Queerbaiting.

Besides criticism and bashing, some are also happy and supporting his coming out, saying they knew it all along.
Now, truth to be told, those fans who were saying the tweet was a publicity stunt were correct! In the follow-up tweet, NLE Choppa wrote, “Out… With ‘OR WHAT’!! (OUTNOW) & “SLUT SZN Project SEPT 27 👅“
So, it indeed was a baiting tweet that fooled many, as one wrote, “Why would you even play like that😭“
