The Straw Hat and Giant Warrior Pirates are very close to breaking loose from Egghead while fending off the Goroseis with the help of Emet. Amidst all this chaos, a new character is listening intently to Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast, as per the early spoilers of One Piece chapter 1121.
At the beginning of the previous chapter of 1120, we see a flashback of Dr. Vegapunk and Professor Clover together in the past. There, Clover revealed that he was also part of the ‘D’ clan, saying his full name was ‘Clou D Clover.’
We also see a funny yet insightful interaction between Luffy and Emet as he refers to Luffy as ‘Joy Boy,’ but Luffy looks confused upon the mention of the name.
Atlas’s sacrifice is the main highlight of the previous One Piece chapter 1120. To ensure that all the Straw Hats members and Lilith escaped safely, she attached herself to Nusjuro and self-destructed, which did buy enough time but didn’t kill Nusjuro.
At the end of the chapter, Dr. Vegapunk reveals Gol D Roger’s full name, which surprised everyone in the One Piece universe, considering many thought his actual name was only ‘Gold Roger.’

Major characters like Shanks and Mihawk make a short appearance as per the spoilers of One Piece chapter 1121!
As per the early spoilers of One Piece chapter 1121, we see the Thousand Sunny, which took off from the top of Egghead in the previous chapter, is already near the Giants’ ship.
Similarly, just as seen in the last chapter, Saturn is still on the Giants’ ship, ready to exterminate everyone on board.
Upon seeing the situation, Luffy encouraged Bonney to attack Saturn. Agreeing with Luffy, she transformed into Nika, and the two attacked Saturn together, sending him flying away.

Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast continued with him discussing ‘Ancient Weapons.’ He mentioned that the world’s fate depends on the person who obtains the One Piece, making many speculate that the One Piece might really be a form of Ancient Weapon.
As the broadcast continued, we got to see the reactions of many other characters who had previously appeared in the manga, such as Vivi, Shanks, Mihawk, Aokiji, Dragon, Buggy, and Imu.
Aside from these familiar faces, we are introduced to what seems to be a new character, who is speculated to be a Figarland. However, we do not see the face of this character, only the character’s silhouette holding a sword.
Reacting to the appearance of this new character, a Reddit user named u/atalantafugiens wrote, “Shanks twin was actually real? lol”. Similarly, another Reddit user called u/leolegandario added, “So the Shanks Twin theories were right.”
Also, unfortunately, the One Piece manga will be taking a break next week, meaning that the next chapter, 1122, will be released in the first week of August.
