Richard Gadd’s alleged partner, Reece Lyons, shared her experience with him and the toxic nature he showed during the series’ casting process through her social media platform.
In a Twitter post of April 16, 2024, Reece shared how she first met Richard Gadd in the bar and shared details about his upcoming Netflix show that he wrote, including the role of his ex-girlfriend, a trans woman.
Moreover, Reece stated, “I told him I was interested in auditioning and asked him to contact my agent at the time.” Richard replied, “I find you really attractive.”
Reece Lyons also revealed that she didn’t think it was a good idea to mix romance and called Richard weeks later to say that dating each other and auditioning for the series simultaneously was not a wise idea.
Unfortunately, weeks later, Richard called Reece to say that though her audition for the role was exceptional, Netflix was looking for somebody who was already a star and that he couldn’t do anything to help it.
Similarly, when Reece asks him about their relationship, he replies that it won’t work because she is too confrontational for him. This controversial post also caused Richard Gadd to face several criticisms.
However, after several investigations, reports cleared Richard Gadd of misconduct allegations.
