Hollywood is mourning for Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Shannen Doherty, who wished to have children of her own before passing away. However, perhaps due to a cruel twist of fate, Shannen only got to enjoy parenthood through her brother Sean Bryant Doherty’s children.
Shannen Doherty, who passed away due to Cancer at the age of 53 on July 13, 2024, revealed that she desperately wanted a child, not only for herself but for her husband, for her marriage.
In her podcast, Let’s Be Clear, Shannen said, “Not only did I want a child for myself, but I wanted it for my husband. I wanted it for our marriage. I wanted him to have that part of himself fulfilled as well.”
As she lost the battle with Cancer before her desires became true, everyone around the globe is sympathizing with the actress. Meanwhile, some are suggesting that although Shannen Doherty could not have children of her own, she had her nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.
In addition, Sean said in the statement, “I love my sister dearly and will never be able to convey the impact she had on me, my family, and the world.”

After Shannen Doherty’s demise, her brother, Sean Bryant Doherty, the CEO of Sharpened Iron Studios, released a heartfelt statement along with old pictures of Shannen.
In the statement, Sean said, “Shannen Doherty’s legacy of courage and advocacy will continue to inspire us. She will be deeply missed.”
Sean Byrant Doherty, 57, is the firstborn child born on November 16, 1967, to his parents, Rosa Elizabeth and John Thomas Doherty Jr.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he studied International Relations and Affairs at the University of Southern California. He is the founder and CEO of Sharpened Iron Productions, a Christian-based video, television, and film production company.
Sean Bryant Doherty is happily married to his wife Than Doherty, and the couple has seven children: Virginia, Sean Jr, Tabitha, John, Francis, Dixon, and Zachariah.
While Shannen did not get the chance to be a mother despite her marriages with husbands Kurt Iswarienko, Ashley Hamilton, and Rick Salomon, she was a great aunt to those seven nieces and nephews.
Unlike Shannen, her brother Sean Bryant Doherty leads a private, low-key lifestyle away from the paparazzi’s criticizing eyes. So, very limited public information is available about him.
Regardless, the sibling duo once worked together in 2017 to support HR 1406, the Dog and Cat Meat Trade Prohibition Act of 2017.
