10. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

There was a time, not that long ago, when Marvel movies were always highly anticipated by people all over the globe. Unfortunately, it seems that time is over and long gone.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a Marvel superhero movie based on the Marvel Comic book. It was the first film of the MCU’s Phase Five.

The movie intended to continue the prosperity of the previous films in the series, but in several ways, it failed to do so. Given its straightforward plot, the film’s runtime of over two hours feels excessive, and the flaws overshadow the enjoyable moments.

Overall, the movie in the Rotten Tomatometer received 46% rating approval and an average of 5.5/10 based on 410 reviews.

Further, the movie became a box-office bomb, grossing only $476.1 million worldwide against a production budget of $326.6 million. It is one of the few MCU films that did not break even during its theatrical release period.

9. Mean Girls

The Mean Girls had the potential to be an interesting teen musical comedy film, but its failure to capture the charm of the original tale made it fall short.

It is the film adaptation of the musical of the same name, which was adapted from the 2004 comedy film written by Mark Water.

The original Mean Girls was successful because it presented many true-to-life aspects of high school and had memorable lines.

On the other hand, the 2024 version is entertaining, but it just doesn’t feel relevant to this generation of teenagers. Moreover, it does not offer a modern look at a teen’s life full of social media.

Overall, while Mean Girls 2024 offers nostalgia and some enjoyable moments, it doesn’t bring anything new or necessary to the table, making the original film still the best version.

4. Pinocchio (English-language dub Version)

Miramax Flims showed the real talent to take a cinematic gem like Pinocchio and polish it into a dull pebble.

Pinocchio is an Italian fantasy comedy-drama based on the 1883 novel The Adventure of Pinocchio. Miramax Films released it in the United States with an English dubbed version.

Viewers see the Italian version of Pinocchio as a whimsical, though imperfect, adaptation that maintains its cultural charm.

In contrast, critics heavily criticized the English-dubbed version for its poor dubbing and loss of original charm, labeling it one of the worst films of its decade.

While it became one of the highest-grossing films in Italy, it underperformed internationally, grossing $41.3 million against a production budget of $40‒45 million.
