After a long and grueling battle on Egghead Island, the Straw Hat, and Giant Warrior Pirates seem to have successfully escaped from the grasp of the Marines and the Goroseis. According to the early spoilers for chapter 1122 of One Piece, the Egghead arc is nearing its conclusion.
The previous chapter was a blast, considering that many major characters, such as Shanks, Mihawk, Aokiji, and Crocodile, made an appearance after quite a while.
Furthermore, we even got to see another team-up between Luffy and Bonney, where the former encouraged the latter to even things with Saturn. Together, they simultaneously attacked Saturn, knocking him out of the Giants’ ship.
However, the chapter’s peak point doesn’t come until the end, when Dr. Vegapunk reveals through his broadcast that the world’s fate depends on those who find the One Piece, and we see a mysterious figure listening to the broadcast.

Emet sends the Goroseis back to Marygeoise according to the One Piece chapter 1122 spoilers
The initial spoilers of chapter 1122 of One Piece show us that the battle between Emet and Goroseis is still ongoing, confirming that the latter group is still doing well or has recovered enough from their prior injuries to participate in battles.
Amidst the battle, Emet unleashes an enormous Haki-based attack, which sends the Goroseis back to their Authority Room at Marygeoise. However, only four of the Goroseis, excluding Saturn, are sent back in their human forms.
It turns out that Joy Boy was the one who sealed the massive Haki into Emet long ago. Many speculate that the Haki might actually be Conqueror’s Haki as Armament Haki doesn’t seem to affect the Goroseis much.

Yeah,Apparently, Egghead Arc has ended.
Correction, All the gorosei sent back to Authority Room (Mary Geoise) in human form except Saturn, still at Egghead.
*You may really consider waiting for the chapter, bad Spoilers this time.*
Similarly, we even get to see the silhouette of Joy Boy again, though this time, it is more detailed than the previous ones.
Moreover, after Emet successfully deals with the Goroseis, we see the Straw Hat Pirates, probably along with the Giant Warrior Pirates, depart from Egghead Island, indicating that the arc may have actually come to an end.
Surprised at the revelation of a powerful Haki, a Reddit user wrote, “Ancient haki is actually real.” Similarly, another user wrote, “So Emeth is a giant dial” hinting at the possibility that Emeth actually can absorb Haki and unleash it anytime.
Sadly, One Piece will once again be on a break next week due to the scheduled magazine break, and Chapter 1123 will probably come out in the third week of August.
Additional Information
- Eiichiro Oda drew Smoker on the cover of chapter 1122 as a tribute to Kohei Horikoshi, the author of My Hero Academia, whose manga is ending this upcoming week. The reason Oda chose to draw Smoker is that Horikoshi had submitted artwork of the character to the volume 22 SBS corner when he was 15 years old.
- Throughout the story of One Piece, we see a mysterious character called Pandaman appear from time to time. Pandaman is 200 cm tall and weighs 122 kg.
- Among all the Straw Hat Pirates members, Brook is the only one who hasn’t met any of Luffy’s brothers, as he was absent in both the Alabasta arc and the Dressrosa arc.
