The recent data breach at Netflix on August 7, 2024, resulted in the upload of many upcoming movies and web series leaks, including season 3 of Heartstopper, and fans are not happy about it.
With the leaks of many intellectual properties, such as Dandadan (6 episodes), Arcane Season 2 (1 episode), Terminator Zero (all episodes), Ranma 1/2 Remake (4 episodes), and Mononoke the Movie: Phantom in the Rain, fans have been furious with Netflix for its lack of responsibility.
Furthermore, the viewers of Heartstopper seem to be the most mad, as the anonymous leaker uploaded 7 episodes of the show’s latest season.

While we still don’t know about the exact content of the leaked episodes, a Reddit user named u/nyki shared that they didn’t look complete and were still rough drafts.
The user wrote, “I watched a few minutes of curiosity, and it’s not a final edit. It’s a draft from February, the pacing, the sound, and color grading are rough, and there are ADR notes overlaid on the screen. Felt like I was watching a film student project, not really worth it IMO, even if you like spoilers.“
Similarly, an X user named @Heather also wrote, “As someone who hopes to work in the media industry, the leaks for Heartstopper has disappointed me! Alice, Pat, thecast & creatives have put their time & energy creating Heartstopper. Sharing leaks or showing them online does a disservice.“
As of now, no one from the cast or the creative team has said anything regarding the leaks of Heartstopper season 3.
Creators hint that Season 3 of Heartstopper will be more mature compared to other seasons!

In Season 3 of this beloved Netflix show, we can expect a continuation of Nick and Charlie’s story, with Nick coming out to his father and Charlie struggling with mental health issues, adding more emotional weight to their relationship.
Alice Oseman, the show’s creator, discussed Nick and Charlie’s journey ahead: “Obviously, a big bulk of these episodes is very focused on Charlie’s mental health journey.“
Furthermore, she added, “Certainly, we do see Nick struggling with that throughout but also struggling with his own identity in some ways, wondering who he is and the usual sort of teenage questions, Who am I? What do I want to do with my life?“

Apart from the main storyline, the show will also expand on other characters like Tao and Elle and their romantic developments, while Isaac continues to explore his identity.
Audiences can also anticipate new settings, including a school trip to Paris that adds another exciting plot point to the season. Joe Locke says the third season will be “a more grown-up season.“
In addition to the previous characters, this season will introduce us to new pivotal characters like Michael Holden (played by Darragh Hand) and Charlie’s youngest brother, Oliver Spring (played by Jensen Clayden), including a guest role of Jonathan Bailey as Jack Maddox.
