Dafne Keen’s parents have been in the industry for at least 30 years!
Deadpool actress Dafne Keen was born on January 5, 2005, in Madrid, Spain, and grew up with her parents, learning more about the behind-the-scenes process of moviemaking.
Will, her father, started his acting career by participating in plays in theaters, with some of his theater credits including Ghost, Waste, Tom & Viv, The Arsonists, The Prince of Homburg, and The Tempest. He even played the role of Vladimir Putin in Peter Morgan’s play Patriots in 2022.
Furthermore, he made his first TV appearance in 1993 on the show Between the Lines. He would go on to star in many TV shows and movies like Sherlock, Titanic (a TV serial), Dead Shot, and Consecration.
Similarly, Will has also acted with Dafne on two different occasions, those being in the TV show The Refugee, where Dafne plays Will’s onscreen daughter, and His Dark Materials, where Dafne plays Will’s onscreen nemesis.
Moving on, Maria, Dafne’s mother, began her career in a minor role in the movie Alone Together. She would go on to gain some recognition for her roles as Mrs. Rodriguez in A Little Trip to Heaven, Ines Villegas in The Mallorca Files, and Marian in Lost in Karastan.
Similar to her husband, Maria has also participated as director or co-director in a lot of stage plays, including Medea, Hamlet, Poet in New York, As You Like It, and more.
