As the finale inches closer, JJK 269 has become an important chapter that ties up all the loose ends in the story. The characters reunite and explain the cursed techniques they used throughout the battles to defeat Sukuna. While everyone is left talking, Mei Mei takes center stage to put things in place.

The chapter titled ‘Examination’ begins with Mei Mei at a corner candy store, where she asks an old lady how much the candy is for. The panel then shifts to Maki scolding Yuta, who is in his original body.

While Maki vents her frustration, Megumi claims that his mind is still fuzzy from being inside Sukuna for so long and apologizes to everyone for the trouble caused. Yuji apologizes, but Kusakabe remarks that it’s Gojo’s fault for not killing Itadori sooner.

Yuta explains that Rika is the reason he got his old body back, as she was applying multiple reverse cursed techniques to maintain his form. This implied that Sukuna was using similar techniques to form some barrier.

The focus of JJK 269 now shifts to Maki as she claims that she should’ve been the one to ambush Kenjaku and allow Higuruma to use his Executioner Sword on the curse. Todo states that his presence was necessary to ensure Yuta got out alive.

Adding to Todo’s remarks, Higuruma explains that the Cursed Speech is easy to counter as he was the one who came up with the plan of using the Inumaki’s voice recorder inside of Yuta’s domain.

However, Maki claims things would’ve been different if Liguel and Larue had been present from the beginning. Despite his recent revival, everyone eyes Yuta as he could’ve called the duo for necessary aid.

The apology game continues as everyone blames themselves for each event, leading to the final battle with Sukuna!

While all the sorcerers jump on Yuta, Yuji chimes in and mentions that Yuta’s cursed tool helped to hold off Sukuna from opening his domain a second time. Likewise, Rika played a massive role in ambushing the curse and separating Uraume.

Still, the talking continues as Todo mentions he’s to blame for Yuji and Choso being trapped in Sukuna’s domain. The curse’s domain was strong within its center, making capturing their cursed energy hard.

Meanwhile, Haraki adds that he would’ve fought Sukuna after finishing with Uraume. Finally, to end the discussion, Nobara says that she was sleeping until the last moment, so she doesn’t have anything to say.

Now, the real deal begins as Ui Ui and Mei Mei take the stage to talk about the New Shadow Style. Ui Ui claims himself as the MVP of the battle, while his sister compares her life to money, explaining that things that can’t be exchanged for money aren’t worth risking her life for.

Similarly, the conversation reveals that the higher-ups and elders of the jujutsu society prevented students from passing down Simple Domain, making it a trade secret.

As the New Shadow Style (NSS) was a technique that non-cursed users could rely on, it became a hushed social topic.

Likewise, the NSS heads absorbed students’ lifespans, and the system was rigged so that no one could track the leader. Immediately, Kusakabe reveals that he is the head of NSS, and there’s no problem with the binding vow.

Fans hoped for a Gojo comeback, but it seems far from happening!

Mei Mei jokes that this was the beginning of subscription-based Jujutsu, which could hint at the changes in the next generation. The JJK chapter 269 suddenly shifts to Mei Mei, declaring that she’s going to take the elder’s life.

Such a remark from Mei Mei surprises the elder, but Tengen informs the sorcerer about their location. She outlines their wrongs and asserts that some things cannot change for money.

After appearing in the story after several chapters, Mei Mei finally takes the MVP card in JJK 269 as she marks the elder’s end, saying, “And now, with the Zenin clan annihilated, and if both the Kamo and Gojo family fall in this battle…

Although the chapter mentions the Gojo family, Gojo’s return seems unlikely, as the initial panels show only the characters who survived the battle with Sukuna.

Likewise, Yuji mentions that Rika was necessary after Gojo’s defeat, which could imply that the strongest sorcerer wouldn’t return.

However, with two chapters remaining until the final, fan theories have sparked after JJK269 featured a clock with 2:21. They claimed that Gege was leaving clues for the readers as chapter 221 marked Gojo’s release from the Prison Realm.

Returning to the chapter’s final page, Mei Mei says, “But more than that, it was inevitable that things would come to this, especially since you aimed to harm my brother.
