As part 2 of Netflix’s Bridgerton airs, a new romance affair blossoms between Violet Bridgerton and Lord Marcus Anderson. However, Lady Danbury opposes their relationship despite her history of an affair with Violet’s father.
In episode 3 of season 3, Lord Marcus Anderson is introduced as Lady Danbury’s brother, and he appears to have interest in Lady Violet. Eventually, they develop a strong bond due to their shared understanding and similar experiences.
However, Lady Danbury is against their love story, even though she had an affair with Violet’s father, adding an intriguing twist to the plot.

Unlike the Bridgerton books, Violet Bridgerton’s Unexpected Romance Unfolds in the Show!
Violet had refrained from pursuing any romantic interests after the tragic death of her husband Edmund Bridgerton from a bee sting.
Instead, her primary focus has been on her children and maintaining the Bridgerton family’s esteemed reputation within high society.
However, in Bridgerton season 2, Violet grows rather lonely as her children begin to act independently.

So, in the latest season, a new character, Marcus, who happens to be Lady Danbury’s brother, seems to have piqued her romantic curiosity.
Marcus disclosed that his first marriage wasn’t based on love initially, but he developed a genuine affection for his wife over time before she passed away.
While the book suggests that Violet never remarries due to her deep love for her husband, the show has the liberty to introduce a new romantic storyline into Violet’s life.
Furthermore, Lord Anderson does not even exist in the original novel series by Julia Quinn.

As the Bridgerton season 3 ends with a hint of an unexpected affair between Violet and Marcus, fans eagerly anticipate a new season that delves into Violet’s new romantic journey.
Further, Marcus’s actor, Daniel Francis, says in People magazine, “They both lost their partners, and both have been devoted husband and wife. And so you’d love to see their happily ever after, and the second chances do exist and they do happen.“

- As in the first half, Lady Danbury and Lord Marcus did not get along. However, later in the episodes, Lord Marcus apologizes to his sister.
- The first part of the third season of Bridgerton premiered on May 16, 2024. While not official, next installment of Bridgerton might come out in 2026.
