During preparation for the role, Martin Lawrence suffered a heat stroke and was placed in Coma!
The Def Comedy Jam host, Martin Lawrence, was born on April 16, 1965, in Frankfurt, West Germany. As of now, Lawrence is already 59 years old.
Despite his age, Lawrence is coming up with the fourth installment of the Bad Boys trilogy with Will Smith. During the movie promotional interview with Extra, fans pointed out Lawrence’s seemingly slow and slurred speech.
In one of their recent public appearances, his fellow mate Smith assisted him while he walked on the stage and talked to a crowd. So, many speculated if he was not healthy or had any illness.
Back in 1999, in a desperate attempt to lose weight for the role in Bad Boys, Lawrence, then 34, was jogging wearing multiple layers of clothing, which turned fatal as he suffered a severe heat stroke and fell into a three-day Coma.
Besides that, Lawrence talked about getting diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2019 and taking medications to deal with it. With that in mind, some fans blamed the meds for his unusual demeanor in the interview.
Furthermore, back in January, during the Emmy Awards, the actor also struggled with the teleprompter. He paused and slurred his words during his speech.

However, later, it was revealed that the problem was a technical glitch with the teleprompter due to delayed changes in the script, as per TMZ magazine.
Nonetheless, fans expressed concerns for his health, and one wrote, “Martin is NOT okay. Get well, Marty Mar.”
Apart from these speculations, there have not been any official updates about Martin Lawrence’s health as of now.
